Preschool Summer Camp enrollment opens mid-April. Turtle Camp enrollment becomes available to non-MCPC children in mid-May. One parent per family is asked to spend one day during their summer session assisting our summer program teachers as a working parent.
MCPC operates as a parent cooperative during the school year, but opens its doors to the children of the community for its annual Summer Camp. A maximum of 25 children, ages 3½ to 5½ years, may enroll in each session. Priority is given to current preschoolers until April 16th, and previous outside care experience is required.
Both sessions are three-week programs that meet Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 9am–12:30pm.
Optional extended days are offered Monday and Friday 12:30–3pm, sold as a package for each three week session.
Optional Spanish Immersion is offered on Wednesdays from 12:30–3pm, sold as a 6-week package covering both sessions. This option is only available to currently enrolled MCPC families.
This is a great opportunity for your child to make the transition to a “drop off” program. Each parent will volunteer to work and bring snack one day during the session to help keep a very low student to teacher ratio.
A maximum of 12 children, ages 2¾ to 3¾ years, may enroll. Your child must turn three by September 1 of this year in order to be eligible for the Turtle Summer Camp. Priority is given to incoming preschoolers until May 1.
Turtle Camp will be taught by Jolie McRae, Jamie Barret Riley and Nick Ventresco.
