Facilities
MCPC owns its own property and is maintained by our parent community.
THE FRONT YARD
With lots of room to run and play and new hands-on activities set up daily, children are in the front yard rain or shine.
Here you’ll find seemingly limitless opportunities for play, including a climbing wall, rotating water and sensory activities, seasonal projects, obstacle courses and a giant covered sandbox.
NATURE AREA
This hilly area tends to be a favorite for children to visit, feed and even hold the MCPC chickens as well as physical activities like monkey bars, a rope swing and rope climb.
THE sun room
Our sun room is now our snack area in the morning. Children serve themselves snacks and clear their own plates when they are done. It also houses our library collection and hosts special activities.
THE SIDE YARD
The side yard has plants to water using a self-serve faucet, cardboard boxes for open-ended play and many climbing structures, but most students would call the pogo swing the main attraction.
THE PLAYROOM
In the playroom you will find daily changing play dough set-ups, a dress-up nook, play kitchen and musical instruments. First year students also use it as their home base for circle time.
The cottage
The cottage is used for special small group activities such as flashlight dance parties! Second- and third-year students also explore more complex ideas at their circle time here.
The patio
The patio houses our daily art projects where children use different types of material to explore their creative processes.
the treehouse
Our brand new play area built in the Summer 2022 and brought to life after years of planning by our parent-run Board. This area includes a suspension bridge and challenging rope climb on your way to the house.
the sandbox
Diggers, builders, and outdoor kitchen enthusiasts of all sorts will enjoy our large sandbox thats full of all the tools they’ll need for play. This includes buckets children can use to carry up their own water!
