Bridge-K Admissions

MCPC welcomes diversity in race, gender, religion, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation, and physical ability. Our intimate Bridge-K program consists of two teachers, and is limited to 12 children. Children who will be 5 years old by December 31 are encouraged to apply. (Some exceptions may be made for children born after the new year, at the Director's discretion.)

Bridge-K Tours and Open House

Prospective parents of children seeking to enter MCPC's Bridge-K this coming 2016-17 academic year are encouraged to schedule a Bridge-K tour at their earliest convenience.

To schedule a tour with your child, please email bk@mcpckids.org or leave a message at (510) 339-7213. Children are strongly encouraged to attend the tours. Reservations required. Tours of the program will be held Thursdays or Fridays by arrangement. All tours are from 1:15 - 2:15 pm.

Our next Open House Information Night will be in January 2017.

Enrollment Applications

Applications for enrollment are distributed after tours.  A tour (or attending our Open House) is required for all applicants.

Priority application deadline is March 21 for subsequent school year.  Acceptance of enrollment applications continues through the school year until full capacity is reached. Unlike our preschool program lottery system, our Bridge-K program is filled on a first-come first-serve basis, with priority given to alumni and diversity applicants who apply by March 21. Late registrants are more than welcome to enroll, provided space is available. Interested parents are encouraged to tour and/or attend the Bridge-K Open House, and submit an application early.

Tuition and Deposits

Tuition for the 2016-17 school year is $600 per month for ten months, September through June. A non-refundable deposit equal to one month's tuition is required upon acceptance. The deposit will be applied towards tuition in June. Tuition for 2017-18 will be available in February 2017.

Financial Assistance

Financial Assistance is available to both incoming and returning preschool families. Online financial aid forms must be completed by March 21st. Financial Assistance is based on need and is a percentage of the monthly tuition, typically in the 10 - 40% range. Online Financial Assistance forms are here: http://sssbynais.org/parents/
